Most Kazaa products are loaded with spyware. Do a search with Spybot S&D and make sure to up-date it on-line before using it.

You have a damaged .cpl file in the Windows/system32 directory. Copy all the .cpl files from this location to a temp directory. I have XP SP2...windows automatically replaced the "missing" .cpl files with a clean copy. This resolved my Control Panel launching problem. If your version of windows does not automatically replace the .cpl files for you, add them back from the temp dir to the windows/system32 dir one at a time and test opening the Ctrl Pnl after each file. Obviously, this will tell you which file is corrupt and you can replace it from a working machine or from a .cab file off the OS cd.
