I have problems opening my data file in an accounting system called Quick Books. The error message i get whenever i try opening the data file is: “This is not a Quick books data file. Check to ensure the path and file name of the .QBW file are correct”. This is the data file i've always been accessing and it also reflects the icon of the application like it has always done but now it just won't open, any clues as to why and any possible solutions? Incidentally my backups are not atall uptodate

Could be a virus.
Try updading your antivirus software if you have any and do a full scan of your system.
If you don't have antivirus software goto the link bellow and do a free online check.
