Apologies for posting this previously in the wrong board.

I've uninstalled and re-installed Norton Personal Firewall since I was unable to access the internet with the firewall turned on. When I disable it I'm able to view webpages but once I turn it back on I can't view anything.
I downloaded eDonkey2000 last night and it has given me similar problems with my firewall the last time I downloaded it several months ago. I've deleted that now. Could anyone help me be able to use the net with the firewall enabled since I'm reluctant to use it with it switched off.

Any help would be much appreciated.

IMHO get rid of NPFW, and download and update and install Sygate free edition. I've used for about 6 mos now and it is fine, simple, and doesn't hog resource like most Norton products do.

Other than that, did you contact Symantec and ask them what they can do to resolve the issue?

The only time I've had this problem is when I've downloaded stuff like Kazaa and eDonkey-both of which I've removed from my PC.
This time around I'm not having any luck getting onto Internet Explorer. Whenever I click on it I get the server can't be found message or it just doesn't load up at all. Only time it works is if I disable the firewall.

Have you allowed the program to access the internet through the firewall?
