I went to renew my Computer Associates EZAntivirus and decided to upgrade to the full security suite EZArmor and also got the ETrust PestPatrol as well. I Downloaded EZArmor and PestPatrol. Without doing an install I then uninstalled my current EZAntivirus which expires June 20, as well as Norton Antivirus, some program called Cookie Wall, and Zonealarm. I then restarted my computer. Then I went to my C Drive where the downloaded EZArmor was/is located, started the install and it looked like it was opening everything up OK. Then I got this screen that tells me to uninstall InoculateIT (the old free version of CA’s ETrust Antivirus). I new I didn’t have InoculateIT still on my computer but followed their instructions. I went to my settings, clicked on add/install programs and guess what…InoculateIT was no where to be found. I then went into my C Drive and looked everywhere for the InoculateIT files and couldn’t find any. I even did a Search of my entire computer and nothing came up that said InoculateIT. I went back into my C Drive and searched around and found some files that said IPESetup.exe which after reading a text file said it was for running InoculateIT. I deleted every file that said IPESetup. Restarted my computer tried to install EZArmor and STILL I got the message that I had to uninstall InoculateIT!!! What am I doing wrong? HELP – PLEASE. PS…I was able to successfully install the ETrust PestPatrol however….I think. At least it let me scan my computer. It found 10 different items which it deleted.
