I don't think there's ever anything *right* with my computer these days...
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what's wrong with my computer. Every time I try to open a folder, My Computer and Control panel for example, or try to right click on the desktop, an error message appears stating that Windows Explorer has caused an error and must close, send an error report ect. I tried doing what the support page told me to do, and the only thing I could find out was that it was my shell32.dll file:
Windows cannot access the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. Windows closed the program Windows Shell Common Dll because of this error.
Program: Windows Shell Common Dll
File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dllI tried using Disk Checker, a program I downloaded off the internet and all my virus & spyware removers to fix it, but nothing worked(Surprise). So I'm at a loss, can anyone help me?

Edit: On light of new information, I've found that this is related to the Dr. Watson debugger crash problem. I downloaded Hijack this and Killbot, but Hijack This sends me a similar error message and closes during a scan, and I can't even find Killbot, even though I saved it to the desktop. I can't create a new logon, because I'm assuming that would involve logging /off/, which I found I also cannot do. This would be one of those times where I'd have to admit I was screwed and phone a technicion up to fix the problem, I guess.

Have you searched your drive for the shell32.dll file? Actually should be in c:\windows\system32 folder. Be sure to search with system folders and hidden folders and files options checked.
I once dealt with an issue where some spyware or virus kept deleting the shell32.dll file. After copying the file from another computer and then rebooting, the file would be deleted. Never found a solution, was forced to re-install Windows.

I think that dll problem is related with memory usage or DEP conflict. Try to increase memory resources or exclude explorer from DEP.
