Question: How to delete the (hidden) scripts which can alter the starting page (home page) for the internet explorer?

Details: One day after I surfed on the internet, the starting page of the internet explorer is automatically altered to a website (http://www.istartthere.com). Then I manually change it back to my own preference (say, http://www.cnet.com). However, unfortunately, next time after the computer is restarted, the starting page of the internet explorer is again altered automatically to "http://www.istartthere.com".
I think my system is hacked or some scripts are installed in my computer to make such tricks to me. Please help.

Btw, is that website legal to do so (altering the starting page of the browser of internet users)? or they are also the victim?

Are you running an up-to-date anti-virus program?

Try CEXX.ORG. for details of how to prevent and clean your computer. Finjan's SURFINGUARDpro will also stop this from happening. Isn't a great form of advertising. On some sites you actually give them permission to make the change. You just did not realize what you were doing, because it wass buried so deep in fine print. All the best!

You are probably even more annoyed. This site has everything you need; HTTP://WWW.SPYWAREINFO.COM/HIJACKED.HTML. Sorry lost my mind, but this should make things better, at least I hope so. All the Best!
