We got this computer about 6 months ago. At first, I had no problems connecting my camera to the computer with the cord that comes with it to download pictures to the computer and then work with them. Now, for some reason when I hook the camera up, nothing happens at all. The same thing with my ipod- it no longer charges when I connect the two and the screen does not come up that normally does. We had a virus that we removed and I am afraid I may have removed some necessary "thing" that is needed for my camera & ipod to communicate with the computer. HELP! Any advice to fix this would be great. I am a novice computer user.

From what you describe, the usb ports on the motherboard might be bad. You could try a self powered usb hub, or install a pci usb board to fix the problem. Either option is fairly inexpensive and easy to do.
