Is there any way to prevent the RECYCLER folder
virus from installing itself into the USB key ?
it seemed to work for the autorun.inf virus by
creating a folder called autorun.inf , but if I do the same for RECYCLER folder ,it just deletes and installs a hidden RECYCLER folder with hidden virus inside it.
Is there any way to prevent this ?

Hi,
you must create an autorun.inf file not a folder, you can put inside of your pen-drive or removable disks.
To perform a scan with your anti-virus, hold down the Shift key before you insert the pen-drive and start the scan.

We can check to see if this is still the malware:

download to your desktop
http://www.suspectfile.com/systemscan
open it and make sure that all options are checked, click on "Scan Now" at the end of the scan will be released (always on your desktop inside the folder suspectfile) two files.
Go to office http://www.freefilehosting.net the zip file and write in your next reply URL where I can get it.

Remember the scan with no connection with the antivirus disabled unless then resume scanning finished.

SystemScan is recognized, mistake, by some antivirus as infected.

Ciao
Marco

I just noticed its already on there, thanks for the tip. Its also had the dreaded "hayc" dos virus on there which I just deleted.
Is there any way to delete the autorun.inf
virus without going into safe mode ?

You must view the files and folders hidden, it is likely that there is also a folder in the %Systemdrive% named "ReSycled", careful not to confuse it with the legitimate "ReCycled".
If you run a scan with SystemScan we'll see better where is the problem ;)

Ciao
