Under task manager, it seems that internet explorer starts up every time I start up computer and takes up approx 150,000 k even when it is not running. I try and exit off of the program via task manager, but it just comes back. Not sure what to do.

You can try running your basic spyware scans and also try a free active X scan http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php , remove all it finds and see if that helps for starters
That's where I start and then try an on-line scan with housecall or kaspersky as they give you the ability to remove the infections. Other scans could give you false positives just to lure you into purchasing them.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Hi Kikem05!:

You can scan if your computer has viruses, spyware, trojans or other types of malware visiting http://www.infectedornot.com, it's a new "Panda project", and the most important thing: IT'S FREE.

Good luck!! :D

I mentioned in another post made by George Green that Panda produces FALSE positives to get you to buy their software and has NO way of removing the infections on the free on-line scan so what does that tell you?

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
