My computer scanned for viruses yesterday morning and said that I had to quarantine a file, so I did and then I shut off the computer, when I turned it back on all of the characters were in wingding font. I have Windows XP. I have been able to change some of the fonts back to normal letters but not all of them. The ones that arent changing are like my start, clock, window headings(as well as other areas, I dont know the names of) and most frustrating is when I print it prints in wingdings, eventhough it shows normal letters on my screens. I updated my Norton and then did an extra virus scan last night and it said that there were 56 infected files and I deleted them but still have the wingdings. Can I do anything to get it right besides reinstall Windows? Can anyone help?

Try to do a system restore.
Start>ALL Programs>Accesories>System Tools
Go back to before this happened.

If System Restore doesn't solve the problem, do the opposite: turn off System Restore. It's possible the virus is in the SR files. Those files cannot be accessed when System Restore is enabled.
If possible, scan in Safe Mode.
