Please help. My computer has apparenty gotten some sort of virus, worm or trojan. I was not using a anti-virus program and am now completely unable to use my computer unless its in safe mode. Plus I am unable to use the internet (In control panel my phone/modem options box is gone.), I'm having to do this at a friends house.

I d/l avast and it said I had win32: trojan-gen {other). I tried fixing the problems, but was unsure about deleting files that were in the registy. So I then d/l and installed hijack this and got a hijack log and a startup log.

Please can someone tell me what to do?

Here is a link that you can use,and follow the instructions, and then scan with your antivirus when your system restore is turned off...
http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm

If that doesnt work try this site with a bunch of trojan scanners......

Hope this helps!
