recently found an executable file (gtAOD.exe) on my computer as the target of a desktop shortcut with an AOL icon called AOL for Broadband. I, however, do not believe this executable file is from AOL at all, but rather an executable disguised as such in order to get unknowing users to run it by clicking on the AOL for Broadband shortcut and icon that are placed on the desktop at installation...these are my thoughts due to the directory in which the files are located (c:\program files\aod)...aol has it's own directory where it's files are located...as well as imperfections i've found in the graphics (icons) located in those same directories which make them appear to be second generation files that were copied from another source...and last, but not least, i have NEVER installed aol or any of their related software on my notebook...as a matter of fact, i've taken pains to make sure that they weren't ever installed because of several reasons which are neither here nor there but for a different forum...and despite this, these files were somehow installed on my computer....any feedback on this topic would be greatly appreciated...thanks...
