Possible freeze virus

May 21, 2009 at 02:50:26
Specs: Windows XP
I have one big problem, I cannot click anything with my mouse. I cannot even use the keyboard.

It goes on the blue screen everytime I restart the computer and says the
1. Checking File system on C
2. FAT32 File
3. One or more of my disks needs to be checked for
Windows will check the disk.
Volume serial number is 14A8-A708
Windows is verifying files and folders.

This happened after a guy put a his memory stick in my computer, that the computer started hanging. He then took it out, because he could not access his document on the memory stick, so when he opened "my computer" it started hanging from there. There is a light border around "my computer" on the desktop, and the hourglass just stays on the desktop, and none of the icons except the time appear on the right hand side of the taskbar.

What do I do?

Follow these directions:

Download and run Kaspersky AVP tool:

Once you download and start the tool select all the objects/places to be scanned and hit Scan. Fix what it detects and at the end of the scan post screen shot/log of detected items that is fixed and which it could not fix.

Note: if you can do this in normal mode try safe mode.
