My firewall is getting bombarded with the Portal of Doom trojan. It is all incoming traffic no outgoing. The firewall is stopping it but the message are driving me nuts. I have had 3800 attacks since this morning. Question is this- does this mean the Portal of Doom trojan is resident on my machine (I have run all my virus checks and malware checks and have found nothing) or does it mean some computer out there in cyberland has my IP address and is just keeps trying to get in? My computer is running fine - it's just that these little popups about being attacked are really annoying. Thanks for any info - I can always count on you people for insights!

If it is all incomming then it is not on the computer. Look in options on the firewall and look for a way to disable notifications. On sygate you left click the firewall icon>choose options>put a check in the box to the left of "hide notification messages">ok.

Thanks jabuck! Just wanted to make sure it was not on my machine since my virus software could not find it. I disabled messages as you suggested and all is peaceful here. Thanks for the help.
