I have done a search for this but could not come up with an answer. Hope someone can help me. For the last few weeks my firewall (Sygate Pro) has been warning me that someone is scanning my ports on my computer. My firewall block some of the scan. When I go to do a back tracking I get this message "This is an invalid IP for back tracking. The IP is 255-255-255-255. Is this scanning harmful to my computer?
I have ran spybot, ad-aware, pest patrol, trojan remover, spywareguard, all updated and found nothing.

Hello; I would definitely start out by doing a free scan of your service ports, and see if they're all stealthed and secure. Do a google search for the Shields Up port scan site, and scan with their free port scanner. Make sure your ports are fully stealthed. Sorry I don't know too much about your specific question, but at least you can run the scan and determine if your ports are safe and fully stealthed. Hope this helps a little, good luck! ~Tommyo

Thanks for the quick response Tommyo, did as you suggested and everything seems to be good. This is the results of the port scan:
ALL PORTS tested were found to be: STEALTH
I guess I don't have to worry about anything. ;)

I've used Sygate home edition and I had the same problem, but I tried Sheild's up and my ports are FULLY Stealth. I get tired of the icon flashing saying someone is scanning my ports, so I keep sending e-mails to abuse and they are searching for the computer that has the virus. I was getting scanned at least 6 times in 2 hours, so I just copied all the info and sent it to abuse. Abuse gets tired of me sending that stuff, so they try to rectify the problem

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge but what do you mean by "all the info and sent it to abuse"?
