Alright,

Starting today I've started to get varius porn popups at completely random times (sometimes not at all). For instance, when I opened this board, a popup came up...

Now, I have done the following

Ran:

AdAware (Updated to the newest)
SpyBot Search and Destroy (Updated to the newest)
Nortan AntiVirus (Updated to the newest)
HiiJacked

Checked:
Add / Remove Programs

Deleted:
Temp Internet Files
Cookies
History

All of which dont help me at all...

Basically Im going along on some random site like google or w/e and all the sudden something like "teenygirlsblahblah.com" or "p--syblahblah.com" pops up, and for the mostpart they seem to be some kind of "gallery" type of thing.. but they've all been porn oriented.

Im not exactly sure if this is appropriate for here seeing as its an adult topic that the spam / popups are themselves but does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it?

This is a family computer and I'de like to get rid of that crap so my 14 year old sister isnt browsing the internet and running into porn.

Thanks.

My hiijack this log is a available if needed...

Thanks in advance.

Start your computer normally, log on to the internet. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL. The task manager should pop up, if it doesn't there will be an option to go there, click on the second tab,"processes". Look for all the things on there that have your username as owner of. Example task will say "WINLOGON.exe SYSTEM....." (SYSTEM would be the owner of that task) end all tasks except explorer.exe and iexplore.exe that have your username. Then wait until you see some porn pop up. When it does open up the task manager again and see which program restarted itself, once you have a pretty good idea thats it, it should have an unusual name. (NOTE: BEFORE NEXT STEP!!! BACKUP SYSTEM REGISTRY- Start\run\regedit\registry\export registry file\save to removable disk) Go to "Start" then "run" then type "regedit" then press CTRL-F and type in that program name and delete every key that has that specific program name. Or log off the internet and see if any program tries to logon to the net, find out which one it is and destory it in the method mentioned above.Email me if you have any questions

Hey wolverine,

Just use Netscape. It has a built-in pop-up stopper.

OR -

just don't go to adult sites.

Hey Wolverine32, I'm having the same problem with the same websites you mentioned, and I've also run all the suggested software. Have you found a solution?
