I have had the Google Toolbar installed on my PC for over a year and it had done a great job blocking Popups until recently. All of a sudden in the last few days it does not block any popups at all and I am getting a ton of them. I tried to unistall it and reinstall the Toolbar but that diidn't work. I am still getting popups. I also ran AVG and Spybot but Popups are still coming. Why doesn't the Google Toolbar Pop-up Blocker work anymore after working great for over a year? Also I have noticed that my Internet(DSL) seems to be slower then usual the last few days, not sure if these are related or not. Can some tell me how to fix these problems. Thanks for the help

op up Stoper's is never the answer. If you are get a lot of pop ups you have Sypware on your computer, that is y your computer is running slow. No spyware and firefox= no popups... Is your SpyBot S&D Ver 1.3 update and run. Download Adaware install update and run. Download a fire wall and install it. check and install all windows updates Stop system restore before starting to clean and reboot. thanks for the reply. How does Spyware all of a sudden let Pop-ups passed the Google Toolbar Popup Blocker? It has worked great for over a year. Not sure which version I have of Spybot(will check when I get home), but I have run that twice along with AVG since I started getting these Pop-ups and any thing that I fixed through them has not gotten rid of the pop-ups. I don't have a software firewall right now, but I have my DSL modem firewall set to high. All Windows Updates have been installed. Why and how do I stop System Restore? So if this is Spyware causeing the Pop-ups to get through and Spybot is obviuously not helping, what else should i do? Why would SpyBot not find and get rid of this problem? What is Highjack This? Sorry for all the questions, I am not too computer savvy.
