As soon as I open IE6 5-6 popups appear. I have ran Spybot, Ad-aware, Spysweeper. Pestpatrol and McAfee virusscan and they still won't stop. I have ran a scan with Hijackthis but do not know what to do with the results. So any help with the log file would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

The best place to post a HijackThis log is on a forum dedicated to helping with these logs. There are many of them but here's one I think might help:

Lavasoft's HijackThis Logs Forum

Remember to read the rules fully before posting. My personal advice afterwards would be to try out the alternative web browsers and see if you like them. My favourite is <a ref="http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/">Firefox because it's clean and simple. Also, IE-converts don't find it too dissimilar.

Ooh, and I just saw that XpUser posted this interesting page a few posts down regarding zango adware. This page analyzes your log file and tells you the nasties in it:

Sorry, I wrote a malformed hyperlink in my first reply. For the Firefox web browser, the link is:

Have a look at your HOSTS file should be located in E:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

make sure it only has 127.0.0.1 localhost on the 1st line if amything elese if after that then just delete it leaving the 127.0.0.1 localhost

man damn i tell u what this problem is common with users so heres your answers

1. get yourself some sort of firewall protection use either zonealarm pro or sygate some free some not. but its better than useing the bugger windows firewall

2. little known fact unless u are a techie is whats called svhost it transmitt im from computer to host its best to disable it since its really useless...to do so click start ..run..type services.msc ...then find messenger and right click on it ...scroll below and select disable...this will stop annoying popups that are the "grey boxes" plus it use to be a harmless chat thru computers but dumbasses and hackers exploit it to get u to buy stuff u dont want nor see.

good luck and email me for further help as i can and will help u if not busy.
