Hi,
I keep getting porn pop ups at start up. I read related messages and tried adaware and other stuff.
I was thinking may be the rededit thing should do the job, but i dont know how to go about it.
Anyone please help. Thank you.

Porn Pop-ups at start up? You mean straight after you load up windows or straight after you start internet explorer.

Dont even think about touching the registry unless you know what you are doing.

Seeing as you are not connected to the internet when when this happens I would assume that these popups are being generated by some sort of program. Type MSCONFIG from the run command to see all the programs that load on start up and remove the offending item if you see it. Check the add remove programs list from within control panel and look for any unfamiliar software. When these popups are happening try pressing CTRL ALT & Delete to see a list of all programs that are currently running. You may be able to see what is generating these popups from here.

May be an idea to empty your temporary internet files and run a virus scan. A visit to www.pcflank.com is a good idea also. It scans your system for common tryjans (see the option down the left hand side)

Good luck

This is a virus that is on your pc....it will always do this expect on the 1st, 15th and 30th of the month...on those days you will get a message reading something to the effect of NO PORN TODAY.

Check to make sure your virus dat files are up to date, then run your virus scan again. I would recommend downloading the Norton's free 30 trial..
