I have this annoying pop up that comes every few minutes. It's in a plain white window and there's nothing actually in the pop up. At the top of it, it says:http://adshttp.com/servicet/ajtrotator/121229/0/viewHTML?zone=enternet - Microsoft Internet Explorer

The problem with this is that whenever I'm playing a game, the thing just returns to windows when the pop up comes and the game minimizes. I have a pop up stopper, Norton Anti Virus, Tune Up 2004, Zone Alarm, Ad Aware, Spy Bot, and they're all updated.

First, disable system restore, the run HijackThis and use it's analyzer to give you a hint as to what needs to be removed. Reenable system restore only after you get rid of the scumware.

I would go to www.freeware.com
Search and download "Startup Control Panel" It will install to the control panel, which is located by going to start button-->settings-->control panel-->then open the "Startup" icon

Simply disable every check box and then reboot. This program controls what can load when you start your computer. This wont remove the problem from your pc, but it will prevent it from running.

What do you mean by system restore, how would I disable it?

I tried the disabling startup thing but it didn't work.

I tried using Spyhunter and Hijack this but it won't let the thing go away. Problem with Hijack this is that I don't know what to delete.

Oh and I have Windows 2000 so that I can't do that System Restore thing.
