I had the Police pro virus thought I removed it and none of the pop ups come up anymore. However any search engine I go to brings up random pages and now I am getting error messages galore everytime I try to open anything my computer won't let me restore and avg isn't picking anything up and everytime I run spybot it closes before the scan is complete and won't open again until I restart the computer.... Not sure what to do.... ughhh very frustrated.... I have read all the ways to do it manually but to be honest I'm just not computer compentent enough to do them safely... can anyone help?????

Go to this link and follow their recommendations. You will probably have to download, install and update in safe mode with networking. Rename Mambam before you download.

download unhackme:
http://www.greatis.com/unhackme/dow...
and follow the instructions for beginners on the left side of the page link I gave.
Run the program through all the options and DON'T delete anything you are unsure of, the program will help you along and if you are stumped, just google the results.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

Even if Windows police pro has been removed, there is a trojan
left on your machine which is causing SE redirection. For trojan
removal see: Google redirect virus removal
