I was looking at my processes running in my taskmanager and noticed a few that i didn't like. ( 4 instances of SCVHOST.exe in all capitals) so i was looking on line and stumbled across you kind people suggesting Hijack This. I was already doing SpyBot on a weekly basis so I was quite happy to see your information. I unhid all system files and hidden files and ran a startup log to see waht i could see. Hi SeaninNH. You don't mention any problem you have so I guess you don't have a problem. SVCHOST.exe is an essential part of your OS and multiple copies running is NORMAL. Go to : http://answersthatwork.com/ then click on S and scroll to svchost.exe for an explanation of what this .exe is all about. Good luck V...
