Been having this weird virus, that at first whenever i used firefox, made IE pop-ups, but then it disabled task manager, shutdown options, and run command. Now Firefox won't work all together, saying 'proxy server is refusing connections.' i've ran norton antivirus and ad-aware, and they havent fixed it. when i try to do a hijackthis, it always disables it and wont let me read it.

ive fixed the run and shutdown and task manager disppearing problems.

also i believe it disabled registry editing.

any help would be appreciated.

tap F8 on bootup and get into safe mode with networking.

download avast to your desktop. Install it and let it do a bootscan on reboot and when it starts scanning move all the problems into the chest.
