Hi, my little sister clicked on some AIM link and i got approx 7 viruses on my computer. I deleted most of them through norton and add/remove programs but ever since my comp has slowed down to a crawl. I have a DSL connectin but it takes a few mins to load a site.
Also, i cant access the Task Manager to see whats being started. Everytime i clikc Ctrl Alt Del itll pop up, but as soon as i click task manager it'll show me the wondow and then close.

Please Help... Anyone know whats going on here? The link was something about see my pics from the beach.

You should run Spybot Search & Destroy,
Adaware SE, CWShredder, Trojan Remover, and McAfee Avert Stinger.
Spybot can be found at: majorgeeks.com
Adaware SE at: majorgeeks.com
CWShredder at: majorgeeks.com
Trojan Remover at: simplysup.com (free trial for 30 days, worth it!)
McAfee Avert Stinger at: majorgeeks.com (searches for some viruses and worms)

Try those, and see if it helps.
You may also want to defrag your comp and see if that helps.

If the suggestion above doesn't help, d/load HiJack This and move it into its own file folder. Shut down all open programs so just your desktop is showing, and run a log. Post the log at any of the following forums:

Spywarewarrior.com
tomcoyote.com

Here's what you need to do to remove the virus.

Download the REMOVAL tool and read the instructions on the following website...it should work for you. I used it on a computer that had the 'pics on the beach' virus (its a variation of the AIM BestFriends virus) and it removed it effectively.

Here's the link:
