Avast is another good freebie.
EDIT:
But Microsoft Security Essentials given below (#4) is probably the best bet.

f-secure looks like a 30 day trial at a glance.

viruses also...
It has strong firewall / Intrusion prevention / Website
protection and many more feature..

Have you tried ???

Try for 90 days .. i.e for 3 months... which is sufficient...

I am not sure.. that you are looking for FREE anti-virus

Please give due consideration to post #4. MSE has been getting very good reviews and it is apparently low on resources.

If you happen to have Windows Defender already on board and you opt for MSE then uninstall WD first as it is then no longer necessary. MSE might well disable it anyhow.
