Hi there,

Can somebody help me please. This is the first time I have used a forum so be patient with me please!

My PC has started running very slowly, especially on startup. I have a few anti-spyware and anti-virus programs installed, all of which seem to be fine. I have done the usual stuff like Disk cleanup, defragmnent, etc. but cannot explain the sudden decrease in speed of the PC.

I also have a temp file, which looking at a search engine is unwanted and common, called PMShared but none of the replies really say how to get rid of it

Also, if anybody can help, I have a really annoying window on startup. It is just a directory that comes up, c:\program files\ati\support. I have tried ATI's website to no avail and was wondering if anybody could help me get rid of it. I'm reluctant to delete ATI at startup as this is my graphics card.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks

Temp files can usually be deleted

As far as the ATI folder, check your 'Startup' folder - otherwise, perhaps use msconfig to disable - - are you closing the folder once it appears?

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.

Hi jboy,

Thanks for replying to me.

I'm trying to delete the temp files but this one keeps popping up and it's not meant to be there.

The ATI utility I have deleted in Startup and in MSConfig, but the folder just keeps reappearing. I am closing it after it appears, but it has now become even more annoying as it keeps coming back about 5 times in a row after I colse it each time I start up the system and it's getting really annoying.
