I HATE Dealio, whatever the heck it is. Somehow it got on my computer and I can't get rid of it. There isn't any toolbar. The stupid program somehow is redirecting all of my searches or pages through srch.dealio.com, and I can't uninstall it because it isn't in the list for add/remove programs. I have searched Google to no avail. It all recommend programs, each of which I download and it won't get rid of the problem. I am getting redirected to 404 messages when I try loading certain pages.. and my Firefox info on the bottom shows "srch.dealio.com" right before it gives the error. This is the same on IE and Firefox. So Vendio can go pedal their crap to someone else. I know it isn't "easily uninstalled." Could someone please help me get this crap off of my computer? Thanks!

Sorry, I did not notice that I wasn't supposed to put "please help" in the subject until I came back to append the message. Now I don't see an option to append to the title or message, so I can't change it apparently.
Anyway, here is a little additional information. I am getting this error in Firefox for pages that were working just fine before:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

... ya!
Grrrr
wat do I know?
... got brain freeze

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I've downloaded and tried multiple sypware and adware apps with no luck. So unless someone knows specifically that a particular program gets rid of Dealio, I don't think that I will take the time to download it. They have all failed so far. I think I'm looking at having to do a manual fix.

Assuming it doesn't appear in Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs then HijackThis will almost certainly find it. This is quite unlike those spyware search/find programs which you have probably already tried.
HijackThis simply shows "all" running processes (good or bad) so make sure you only tell it to remove what is "definitely" Dealio.
some other bloke...

Hi, and thank you. However, Hijack This is one of the first anti spy-ware applications that I used. It didn't notify me of anything by the name of Dealio. So perhaps it's under a different file name? I'm almost at a loss as to how to get rid of it. By reading some other online forums, even uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox or IE won't work.
Perhaps if I pray to St. Jude? Not very high tech, but since he is the patron Saint of lost causes, it appears that I may have to go that route!

Heya jlayne,
After a look online it appears Combofix can identify Dealio in its log, but a script for combofix needs to be created to remove it. If you want to give Combofix a shot follow the instructions below:
Temporarily disable any real-time protection by following instructions provided in the link below:
Temporarily Disable Real Time Monitoring Programs - Click Here
Download Combofix to your desktop.
Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop
Click here to download Combofix by sUBs
Close any open browsers and windows except for Combofix
Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When it's finished it will produce a log.
Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running it can cause the program to freeze/hang.
In some cases your Antivirus or other realtime scanner will display an alert after you downloaded Combofix or while you use Combofix, please disable your scanners, delete the copy off the desktop and download Combofix again.
Some scanners may see some combofix related components as suspicious and block or delete them. There's nothing wrong with Combofix, heuristic detection can report this false positive because of combofixs removal technique.

no problems here uninstalling dealio with http://www.dealio.com/help/uninstall-dealio-toolbar.html
