AVG found I Worm Bagle in my email, but did not remove it. AVG sad "This version only finds, it does not remove." So, I deleted the bug (zip file) manually, and I had not opened it. The AVG log says the bug is still there. Well, I donwloaded the Symantec removal tool, it found nothing. I checked for the files which Symantec says the bug creates. Nothing. Today, I ran Housecall. Nothing. Yet, AVG log says it's still there. I'm wondering if AVG thinks the bug is there, just because AVG was not involved in removing it.

Doghead, if you are using Outlook/Express and deleted the email, did you use edit to empty the "deleted items". If you did not the file is still there. It cannot do any damage, but it will be deetcted by your virus scan. Take care!

Thanks, cap't. No, I use Eudora, and after deleting, I COMPACTED MAILBOXES. Also, AVG does not detect the virus now when I scan, it's just that the log - from when it was origianlly detected - says STILL INFECTED. That seems a contradiction in itself.
