Morning,
Either Zonealarm or Sygate are good and both have free versions. Only problem with Zonealarm is that you can't use MSN Messenger with it. That is why I switched to Sygate.

If you go to
www.grc.com
You will find pages listing the good and bad features for most of the popular firewalls. It will also tell you which are the best rated on the tests on that site.
Just a thought,
XDon

I have treid most of the free firewalls.

Here's what I prefer:

Free:Kerio 2.1.4

Payware:LooknStop.
(I'm registering LooknStop).

Both firewalls are rules-based.

Regards,
JB

From my experience that's not true. I have been using Zone Alarm for 3 years, the free and then the pro version and never had a problem with MSN messenger.
