Pepper Trojan?

My friend thinks he may have the pepper trojan, or something related. His internet is not working, but the cable box still appears to be connected. His IP starts with 169 and the comcast guy said that means his computer is not reading the connection. The file he found that the comcast guy thought was related to pepper virus is LgnJ8V3.exe and was found in the registry. Any info on how to fix this would help. Does anybody know what's going on?

Please post the detection message as it appears from latest antivirus scan (with or without the IE connection). What is the name of the antivirus program you are using? Path and filename of the malware file detected?
Shouldn't comcast help you re-establishing the Internet/cable connection if no connection was determined?

Please also post the registry subkeys where the presupposed virus/trojan file, LgnJ8V3.exe, was found?

The best way to tell if you have a pepper infection is to post a HiJackThis log, Here's the uninstaller - you must have an internet connection for it to work Uninstaller
Summary: You DO NOT have pepper but you have at least 3 other trojans I can see so far. Takes these steps first... Run cwshredder and let it help ya... Then go and get TDS-3 and make sure you get the lates...
Summary: Help!! after scanning computer with Norton antivirus i found a file with backdoor.trojan. After deleteing it everything was fine, but now computer is very unstable & will only start in safe mode, & so...
