Hi,

I have a seriously ill computer at the moment.

Situation is that it was infected with the System Doctor spyware, which I removed using Super Anti Spyware. But there was still some spyware left that i think is related to 'PCTurboPro'. I tried to get more info using a number of scanning tools, but no real luck.

I then used an active X tool web-page which i'd been recommended in the past from this forum (albeit for different spyware) ... http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php

However after using this tool to remove another instance of System Doctor, the system has really gone downhill, the bootup from welcome screen to desktop now takes about 10 minutes. Worse still the internal wireless application now refuses to work, even after a reinstallation, and a normal Ethernet conenction refuses to pick up an IP address! So I'm guess maybe a service or the registry has got screwed up.

I can post the HJT log if necessary.

Am really at wits end here, any ideas would really be appreciated! Else I think it'll have to be a fresh installation!

thanks,

Magic Bob
