My subscription to Norton will be expiring in 30 days. I have read on this forum that people are recommending pc-cillin over Norton as the latest version of norton is resources hungry. I want to give pc-cillin (internet security 2005)a try but I'm unable to install it because Norton is found on my computer.

Is there a way to install pc-cillin while norton is still installed on my computer?

I will not be running both AV at the same time, I just want to "test" pc-cillin before deciding if I should stay with Norton or switch to pc-cillin.

If no solution exist around this, I will have to give in and remove Norton. Thanks.

You need to disable norton before installing PCcillin. Do not keep it activiated.

In my opinion, kaspersky is the best AV.

Thanks fordman for the quick reply. Will take a look at kaspersky. I have disabled norton auto-protect but norton is still found on my pc by pc-cillin.

<<use advice at own risk>>

1. go to MSCONFIG
2. disable norton antivirus from loading at startup
3. restart and try again
