hi guys. help me please.
my PC shuts down randomly and it doesn't reboot the main CPU turns off. 2 to 3 times and I'm suffering this for 2 days. already clean all dirt because I thought it's overheating.

... does the pc go through the shutdown process? Or does it just black screen off?
... check start> control panel> power options> in power schemes "when computer is plugged in" ...turn off hard disks: set this to never!
... review other settings

Hi... I too am having random shutdown. I've ruled out a virus. So, if it is the "power supply" can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot and repair?
The fan approach used to work, but now it only stays on for like 20 minutes and shuts down. How do I determine the exact cause and repair this myself? Thanks, Pat
