hi guys, i am having similar kind of problem on my computer with windows xp. it starts up normally and shuts down automatically after 5 minutes without showing any message or warning. the screen goes blank and after 30 seconds harddisk led also goes off. i thought it to be a virus problem, and i formatter the hdd. then i reinstalled windows xp. now the problem is that i m unable to install xp on this machine. when i boot the pc, windows setup starts and after 5 minutes the pc shuts down without showing any message, my screen goes blank, and after few seconds total system halts. pls help me to get out of this problem.
