Hi, Since December 25th, Windows is freezing completely after 3 to 10 minutes of use. Afterwards, I need to switch power off and on to restart. I am using NAV 2005, which is up-to-date. Unfortunately I cannot make a full system scan, because Windows is always freezing before the end. I have a permanent ADSL connection via a Linksys wireless router (WEP encryption) and a Linksys wireless PCI card. The PC was running without any problem before, no new hardware or software has been installed recently. Do you have any clue? Thank you very much in advance. Best regards, Martin

The first thing you should do: Reboot into safe mode tapping F8 to get into safe mode with networking. make sure you are logged on as administrator See if you freeze in safe mode. Update Norton in safe mode and run a full scan. If you are freezing in safe mode it may be a hardware problem such as power supply or Ram or maybe even a driver issue. Try running spybot anf adaware to see if you see anything with those . Also you could try using an online scan from like trend at trendmicro.com , they also have a free online spam tool you can use.
