It seems that since I've upgraded to McAfee 7 that my PC doesn't shutdown or restart, it just sits at the blue screen that says "shutting down" and I have to manually press to button to power off or reboot.
I had McAfee 6 and Firewall 3 running prior and was vigilant about keeping the definition files updated, to my knowledge there's never been on a virus on this PC.
And my newest problem is that Mozilla no longer starts up when I click on the icon. However, IE works no problem but Mozilla used to be my default browswer. My PC is also very sluggish since the upgrade.
A thorough virus scan produced no results...anyone know what's going on?

disable Mcafee & then try Mozilla. It Mozilla works & the PC isn't slow, then the problem is in Mcafee. It the problem doesn't change, it is something else.
Disconnect your Internet connection before disabling Mcafee.

I disabled McAfee and still the same problem. I first want to be able to get my PC to shutdown, I hate having to power down "abnormally" and then go through system check everytime.
Also when I try to start up mozilla i see teh splash screen for a split second before it disappears.
Another point is I have the IE default blank but it got changed to this address below:
http://best-search.cc/index.php?v=6&aff=3188149so I changed it back to blank and when i turned of McAfee it defaulted back to this page...not sure if that makes a difference?
Can anyone help me out at all?

you got hijacked. try coolwebshredder.
macafee & a firewall will protect you from some malware, but not all.
