Has anyone used Panda Antivirus? I was thinking about going to Panda from Norton since Norton takes up a lot of my system resources to run? Any information would help.

Thank you

I would recommend that you get either ESET's NOD32. It is the top performing antivirus product based on the actual tests. If you go to the Virus Bulletin website you will see that it has won more 100% awards than any other program for any operating system. Then there is SOLO from www.srnmicro.com(very popular in Asia), which has the highest antivirus user satisfaction rating(90%) at CNET. Both are available for a free trial, which includes virus definition updates. They both use very little resources. I installed Panda Titanium on my daughter/son in law's computer, and they had some ISP problems and had to uninstall it. I think you will be very satisfied with either program. Take care and all the best!

I had panda's titanium installed for over a year. It was marketed as the "install and forget" antivirus software.

Thats exactly what it was. I installed it and i didnt have to mess with it for over a year. It blocked every infection attempt via email and a few when accidentally browsing malicious websites.

The only problem i experienced was when trying to use it with XP. It slowed the system way down because of some dll scan scenario. A workaround solved the problem.

Since your OS is XP Pro i wouldnt suggest getting it. No sense in buying something you have to work around to use.

Whatever product you choose.. I suggest you go out and get the disk at a local retailer or order a disk online. You usually save a ton [85%] after mail in rebates.

thekid got norton systemworks which includes nav2002 for about $6.
