Well, at first my top cd tray opened on it's own on startup, and if i push the button it went back in and came back out forcing me to hold it in for 10-15 seconds. I thought maybe it went bad, 3 days later the tray under it started experiencing it on startup. And i experienced some unrelated malware issues and i wanted to reformat but I couldn't because the trays wouldn't read, finally i used my 3rd tray to reinstall windows, malware removed, but.. cd trays open and close. Currently power is unattached and when i try to play SilkRoad Online i usually get a blue screen with a 1001 Error that i think is related to my CDROM because i've reinstalled all my drivers plenty of times. Help?

You say the first one started opening on its own on startup. Does 'startup' mean when you power up the computer or when the OS starts to load? If the problem comes before the OS loads then it's likely a hardware problem. Try replacing the cable, check connections, etc.
