Ok, the issue is with a recurring virus that just will not go away. They symptoms are a small window that rolls up above the system tray and says that files are being copied and that a virus scan needs to be run. Also, there are a couple of popups that appear that say the same thing, but in a different way. If I try to minimize it, it just comes back up. If I click on "X" or close, it takes me to a webpage for antispynetwork. I have run adaware, Spybot S&D, and am using Spyware Doctor. If I run all 3 of these and restart in safe mode to delete all of the index files, it goes away. The only way that it comes back is if I open up IE. Right now I am using Firefox and it does not come back. The funny thing is that once it has started up again, I cannot change any of the settings in IE. If I go change them, none of the buttons on the tools menu are clickable. If I bring up my taskmanager or registry, they become greyed out and nothing cannot be manipulated. If the virus is active and I go to Yahoo from the antispynetwork homepage, no problems. When I then use yahoo to search for antispynetwork to see if there are any fixes, it automatically goes to the antispyware homepage, not the list of results for the search for antispynetwork. Not sure what else to try to get rid of it. Any advice would be nice.

Disregard. I think I fixed it using murr's recommendation to BB a few posts down with the smitfraud fix. Will repost if still not fixed.
