One half of my screen is covered

Specs: Windows Vista
While my full screen is available and actionable, I have what appears to be a curtain of verticle color bars covering exectly the top half of my screen. I ran an extensive scan and no viruses were found, so maybe it's a graphics card problem,,,and thoughs??

its either a stuck pixel or bad resolutions.first right click on the desktop and click properties and in properties dialog box click on the Settings tab.In the settings tab under Screen Resolution, move the move the slider to the MAX(More side) and click Apply.Your screen will flash and then come back to that doesn't work try changing the resolutions everywhere.if that doesnt work then it might be stuck pixels.
