Can You Format an SD Card On An iPad

Trying to format a new sd card but my camera wont format it as it does not read it and my computer does not have a sd card slot and I do not have a reader so was wondering if my ipad could format one

      iPads don’t support SD cards. You can buy cheap USB adapters that will let you connect the SD card to your computer. But if your camera doesn’t read the card I doubt that formatting it in a PC would help. Are you sure that your camera supports that size of SD card (some have limits as to the size they support)? If so, it may be that the SD card is bad.
