Offline Pop-Ups

I've been getting offline pop-up ads. I've tried AdAware and that didn't work. I wanted to post a HiJack This log but I got a message telling me not to post that until requested. Does anyone have any other advice?

Have you ran Spybot? There is a rule here (though not followed consistently) that you need to run Ad-Aware and Spybot before posting a log. That way the problem can be narrowed down usually a good bit more than if a log was posted with no action beforehand. It's simply to make diagnosis easier.
Do you know whether Windows Messenger (Not MSN) is disabled? Because leaving it enabled will bring these pop-ups also, spammers have used it for a long time.

Yeah, I used Spybot Search and Destroy. Sorry, I forgot to mention it. I'm pretty sure Windows Messenger is disabled, but I'm not completely sure.

Ok, go to www.grc.com and there will be a tool listed there that will disable Messenger for you. Just download and run it.
What type of pop-ups are you getting? I mean, what all do they say? Oh, I just thought of that download at grc.com, it is called "ShootTheMessenger". Anyway, if that doesn't work post a log here and we'll see what's up.
I'd normally say post the log after making sure you ran Ad-Aware and Spybot only, but since you say you are only getting offline pop-ups my feeling is that Messenger is probably involved.
Is this all you are getting? If other weird things are happening let us know.

Disabling Windows Messenger got rid of all but one. It habitually slides up the bottome right hand corner and doesn't appear on the taskbar on the bottom of the screen. To close them you have to push the red x. Any other suggestions?
