Internet is broadband, going into a D-Link 300T then into my nvidia lan socket.

Internet access is not a problem but.......
When I have nvidia firewall running I cannot do an online scan at panda, housecall and bitdefender!!
It definately messes with their 'digital signatures' aswell.

Using a medium setting helps with the digital signatures.

No setting allows the definitions to be downloaded, updated etc??

Any ideas?

On a side note....
I tried Zone Alarm both security suite and Pro.
SS was useless, kept giving a false network address and a wrong one at that?
Pro was a bit better but it also would not let me on the net?It was definately blocking inbound access attempts and it was also giving a correct network address.

Getting confused?

If it's not allowing certain connections you have to go into the nVidia settings and allow individual sites because the 'medium' - recommended - setting is obviously not being flexible enough. I've only come across one system which uses nVidia firewall so far & my general impression was that it's not as user-friendly as ZA - getting into the Application Table wasn't immediately apparent as far as I recall but once there it was easy enough to see which applications were being blocked & then allowing you to unblock individual ones. Does the motherboard come with much user info on firewall setting up or are you expected to find your own way around?

I will just have to have a deep look and experiment I think.

Just downloaded 2 manuals for it so they may help?

Thanks for your time.

If I change the "Active Armour's" 'Offload Default' from "Offload" to "Not Offloadable" this solves the problem.
