Okay, i have many problems occuring with my comp that i have no idea how to solve. First off, i had updated avg and the second i did it many c:windows and system32 virus notification popus bombarded me to the point where i could not even run avg. Finally, i went out and bought norton internet security, but when i tried uninstalling avg, a popup came up that said i was missing a shell.dll file and that uninstallation couldnt take place. So i have avg and norton on my comp, both picking up different viruses than the other and neither of them removing them permanently. Second, when windows boots up a box appears that says wyswl file cannot be found and i can either use the web to search for it or choose from a list of existing programs. I installed xp service pack 2 just last week and the same day i updated avg this all started happening. Any ideas or possible help? It's almost crippling my computer with the avg popup notifications and the many application extension .dll viruses in the c windows and sys32 folders. Everytime i boot the computer i hit cancel when im prompted about the wyswl file and i have to turn avg off so the notifications wont constantly keep popping up. PLUS, on top of all that hell, i somehow got hit with a homepage hijack of ie to about:blank with only the best popups and such hitting me. I looked up this possible solution on google to remove the homepage hijack but i do not know if this is legitimate, etc, so id appreciate it if anyone can tell me if this is the proper course of action. http://www.pchell.com/support/onlythebest.shtml
This is so awful and is only frustrating me more. So if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated...

First off, you have come to the right place.
Start your PC and keep tapping the F8 key before the Windows Splash screen shows.
You will be presented the some options. Use the keyboard arrow keys to select 'safe mode' then press the enter key.
You will get a warning that you are entering safe mode for diagnostics only (or something like that).
Run your antivirus programs one at a time. This should allow you to quarantine the bugs.To get out of safe mode, just restart the PC.
See if you still have problems then and post back. If you can get onto the Internet OK, I think it would be best to update your AV program and run another scan.
There may be problems with running two AV programs but get yourself sorted before you try and install/uninstall anything else.
