notepad and volume control window prob

only the notepad and volume control window opens as much as i click them. i re-install my windows xp. i thinks its in my backup dvds. everytime i install any exe files an xtra copying window apears and quickly close it automatic. i cant get rid of it. i tried different antivirus softs. none can get the virus/woirm. its that weired problem.
