Hi; Not sure if this is a problem or not. Up until a few months ago,....when I "woke up" my computer from the screen saver,....it would respond instantaneoulsy,....i.e my desktop appeared immediately. Now, when I wake it up,......it takes maybe a second or two to have the monitor respond. I'm not talking anything major here,....but there is a perceptible lag time.
I've done a variety of virus and malware scans,....and nothing shows up. Any thoughts? Is it a refresh rate issue?

Thanks!

Have you defragged? 1-2 second response time seems pretty good to me.

Life's more painless for the brainless.

Jennifer,...you're absolutely right, it's not the actual time but the fact that it's changed (gotten a little slower),and I'm just curious. As well,.....and I'm not a computer expert at all,...but in a world of nano seconds,.....1-2 seconds in absolute terms is not slow,...but in relative terms is. As I stated,...I'm just curious as to what might be causing the lag time.
I recently attached a WD Back-up drive to the computer,...and just thinking,...could that possibly be the culprit?
Thanks again!
