I continually get pop up warnings every few minutes saying my virus protection is not up to date, seconds after i have spent 3 hours updating the scan and the norton update reads that I have not updated it for a few months. why have i paid all that money if it allows viruses in and I cannot contact norton security at all

Unfortunately, about the only time you'll hear from Norton is when they take money out of your credit card and they'll HOUND you then.

Depending on how much longer you are licensed for I can suggest an alternative.

IMO it is way better than Norton ever thought of being.

If you decide to unload Norton, be sure to use the uninstaller from their website and ALSO call or e-mail them and cancel your CC info with them, as they will automatically take money out whether you use their product or not:

If you don't use the uninstaller, no antivirus or firewall will work correctly on your PC.

If you try Avast, be sure to let it do a bootscan on reboot so it scans the boot sector and all your HD. You'll be surprised at what Norton missed.

I agree dump Norton , If you need a good firewall PC-Tools free firewall is about the best at the moment .

It's better than Norton's .
