Hi,
I have this problem with Norton Antivirus. I recently had the klez virus and I ran the removal tool and it is no longer on my system. I then tried to install Norton Antivirus but it wouldn't let me run liveupdate. For some reason it keeps telling me that liveupdate is running in the background and I should wait until it is finished. It doesn't matter how long I wait, I am unable to run live update. Is there a way to solve it? I tried looking on their website to contact them, but I just keep running in circles. Does anyone have any ideas what's wrong?? Thanks in advance! :)

Go to the control panel>add/remove programs and uninstall live update. Then go to the Symantec website and download and install liveupdate 1.8. It might have been damaged by the KLEZ, or your live update version is not 1.8. Take care and all the best!
