My friend is running a Dell with windows pro that had Norton internet security preinstalled from Dell. Don't know what version Norton though. The computer is over 1yr. old and it was completely dead one day and would not turn on and computer tech found a bad power supply and replaced it. Computer is running fine now but Norton won't work. Where it says auto protect and e-mail scanning it's in red and when she goes to enable it you can't, you click but it won't work so something is stopping her from doing that or Norton needs reinstalling or something I am guessing. She e-mailed Norton and they said since it's was preinstalled by Dell they have to deal with it and Dell says sorry you are past your 1yr. warranty for help.
I am thinking Norton just need to be reinstalled but she has no disk to do this. I looked and it says her subscription is good until June 2006 so how the heck is she supposed to use Norton now? I know on my HP I have application recovery to reinstall any preloaded things HP gave me but I didn't see anything like that on the dell or I don't know where to look. How can we get Norton working again?
God knew I couldn't be a pioneer, that's why he gave me a computer!

She should have a CD that says "Dell, Tools and System Software" which should have Norton Internet Security in it...

My PC never Crashes nor does it have Bugs - It just develops random Features at times.

Thanks, will e-mail her about that and see if she does.
