Help! I'm having trouble with Norton Internet Security! I just prurchased the download version of this, and it said that I would be prompted to activate it when I finish installing... Well it won't! It installed ok, but it won't ask me to activate it! I can't figure out how... And for some reason, the AntiVirus and Internet Security load, but when I try to open them, they won't open! It just shows the hourglass, and then it stops loading. Can anyone help?

Have you uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling NIS and NAV separately? Symantec has removal tools to assist in the removal of these programs(rnav2004&rnis), if the reinstallation does not work available at their website.

Hmm, where are the removal tools at? I looked at the Symantec website but didn't know where to find them. Can you give me a link?

Ugh! Sorry... I've looked everywhere on their downloads section. I can't find it. I'm sorry, maybe I'm over looking it, but I just can't find it anywhere.

If you are going to Symantec's main webpage, select support, then select search on the left hand side of the page. Type in rnav.exe. It has been a while since I have used their site and it has changed a bit.

Ok, I downloaded it fine, but it only has it for NAV2003 - I didn't see one for 2004, and that's what I have. It looks like it's running fine, NIS and NAV are both enabled, but I just can't open up NIS or NAV. :/
And I still can't figure out how to activate it...

Then they are not working properly, as they cannot get the latest updates. Not being able to update is absolutely critical for the antivirus part of Norton It makes it useless, as you would be defenceless against any new virus/trojan/worm. What has Symantec support done to assist you? I would go to http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/index.cfm and get their version of Zone Alarm pro and Etrust antivirus for a year of free use. Then I would try to get Symantec to refund the money, or get their product working properly.

Actually I can get the updates... And I can do a virus scan. I can somewhat open NAV using the icon by the address bar everytime I get online, but I can't get to it through the tray icon, or any of the icons. And I can't get to NIS at all... But I can update it.

Ok, now both just quit working completely. They're not even on auto-protect, and I can't get them back on.
Does anyone know if Symantec offers refunds?
